{ Embrace the Camera } - 4/26/12

My mom came to visit us last weekend.  We had so much fun.  One of the best things about having her come was that my kids remembered who she was.  (We were at her house in New York just 2 1/2 months ago.) My boys wanted Grandma Hallstrom to watch them ride their bikes, pump their legs on the swing, scoot around on their scooters, and jump on the trampoline.  Katie actually let my mom hold her and carry her around.  Katie's version of saying Grandma is "Mama."  It's SO cute to hear her talk.  The boys LOVE their new hippy hippy shades that Grandma Hallstrom picked out for them.
My mom and I had an afternoon to ourselves.  We tried out Logan's Heroes for lunch.  I'd never been there.  I heard it was a hole in the wall kind of place but the sandwiches were SO good.  My friends were right, but what they didn't tell me was how huge the sandwiches were!  After lunch, we walked over to The Book Table.  My mom LOVES books and we had fun perusing the aisles of books.  The Book Table is a HUGE two story store!  After my kids went to bed, we watched the movie, "The Help."  I LOVE MY MOM!!!

Your mom seems like such a great lady. The other day I noticed her in RS during my lesson. She was so kind and encouraging with small nods every now and then and smiling at me from time to time. It might be silly but I love that kind of thing when people seem engaged in what you are saying. Will you tell her I really appreciated that, really I did so much!

How fun to have mom time. Also, I just read about the awesome photography workhop you just attended. That looked like so much fun for you. I'm so glad you got to do that. You're super talented, and also so cute!
