Girl Day

Two Saturdays ago was Girl Day for me and my girl.  I took Katie to Pocatello to visit our friends, Lindsay and Addie.  We went to Costa Vida for lunch, made hair accessories while the girls napped, and then went to the mall for a little shopping.  It was a relaxing day for us.
Thanks for the pictures, Lindsay ;)

Imagine...

everyone pictured below in a minivan for one afternoon.
Katie (in the back) and her gal pal, Addie enjoying their graham crackers.

Why would we torture ourselves with four kids in car seats, fussing, begging for food, and a trip to the dollar store?  Well, Lindsay and I just had to go shopping for our girls!  Carter's was having an awesome sale that we just couldn't resist.  The fussy kids that ended in a trip to Chick-Fil-A was totally worth it.  Plus, I got to chat for hours with one of my favorite friends, Lindsay.  Thanks for making the trip to see us!

GiRL DAY

Addison & Katie

GiRL DAY was last Saturday.  I drove Katie up to Idaho to meet my amazing friend, Lindsay and her daughter, Addison.  Addison is six weeks younger than Katie.  Lindsay treated us to lunch at Chili's.  It was fun to catch up and show off our babies.  Lindsay taught me how to make these bows.  I have other bows that I made months ago.  So I have a pretty good bow collection now and can't wait to make more bows that coordinate with Katie's outfits.  I'm going to teach myself how to make korker bows next.  Thanks for the fun day, Lindsay!

Bows made by me :)

Weekend in Idaho

Two Saturdays ago. our family hopped in the car and took off for the Twin Falls Idaho Temple at 5:30 AM. My good friend, Lindsay married her sweetheart, Allen. They are an awesome couple and we're so happy for them. As you can see, Brian loves his daddy and temple. Lindsay and Allen had a luncheon after the sealing at the Canyon Crest Events Center. It was beautiful and overlooked the canyon. Our boys sure were a handful (it was WAY past their nap time). The boys slept most of the way to Idaho Falls. We spent the rest of our time at Kevin and Becky's beautiful home. Brian was so excited to see his cousin, Owen. They had fun playing outside on the trampoline and swing set and inside with their tinkertoys. We had Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner. Owen, Brian, and Wes enjoyed eating their pizza on the patio. After the kids got to bed, we enjoyed the peace and quiet on the back patio. We topped off the night with big bowls of ice cream. We spent Sunday morning watching the kids play. My new niece, Madalyn fell asleep on me. She's so sweet. After church, we enjoyed a delicious grilled BBQ chicken dinner. Thanks for having us over, Kevin and Becky. We love coming to visit you guys! Here's Brian's cousin, Owen giving him a big good-bye hug! I snagged a couple of these pictures from Becky's blog. Hope you don't mind, Becky!

Lindsay & Allen

Lindsay is a great friend of mine.
I finally got to meet her man, Allen, this morning.
These two know how to have fun. They enjoy traveling and going four-wheeling.

This next one is my favorite. Don't Lindsay and Allen make a beautiful couple?! They will have the cutest kids someday, dimples and all.

Lindsay and I served in the Primary Presidency together back when we both lived in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Lindsay is gorgeous and so fun. She's into photography and man, she can cook! Allen is a lucky man! They are getting married in the Twin Falls Idaho Temple at the end of August.
Congratulations on your engagement! Best wishes to you both as you prepare for the big day!

Beth's Baby Shower!

My friends, Lindsay and Bethany, helped me throw a baby shower for Beth. Beth is the Primary President in our branch. (Lindsay and Bethany are the two others that I served with in the Primary Presidency. This past Sunday, I was released as first counselor in the Primary Presidency. I will miss serving with these amazing women.) Anyway, as you can see, we had alot of food and alot of fun. Beth's first baby, a girl, is due at the end of April. She received alot of nice gifts for her little one!
