Kidisms

Brian calls hand sanitizer "Hanitizer" and insists on carrying his own little bottle in his lunch pail to playground group.

Tyler is a fan of Lady Gaga's song, "Born This Way."  Tyler's favorite line is, "Don't be a drag, just be a queen."  He adjusted those lyrics to his choosing... "Don't be a drag, just be a POWER RANGER."

Katie is a daddy's girl.  When her daddy is gone at work, she still wants him near her.  So Katie retrieves a different Tshirt of her daddy's every day (with no preference whether it be clean or dirty).  She wads up the shirt in one hand and brings it close to her face and as she sucks her left thumb, she says in the most soothing voice she can muster, "Daddy."

Dear Elder Hallstrom,

We made cookies last week.

Doesn't the dough look yummy?

Don't you just want to grab this ginormous cookie dough ball and eat it up?

Mmmm...  Elder Hallstrom, you sure are missin' out!

Elder Hallstrom has been in the MTC for practically 3 weeks.  When we heard that he had not yet received any letters, we knew that it was time to send a care package.  We included two kinds of homemade cookies:  chocolate chip and brownie cookies, some gum, a bag of Skittles, popcorn, Post-it paper, crayon drawings by the boys, a family photo album, a missionary card, and hand written letters from me and Brian.  It was a fun little project to do with my family.

Dear Elder Hallstrom,
thank you For coming to our House For 3 Days.  it Was fun Having you Pitch the ball to me so I could Hit it with my blue bat.  love, Brian.

A Boy and His Dog

I know what you're probably thinking... this movie isn't about a boy and his dog. But let me tell ya somethin'... we rented this movie last weekend and my boys LOVED it! When it was time to return the movie, Brian grabbed the movie and hugged it real tight. He made puppy dog eyes at me and had crocodile tears streaming down his face and while he sobbed, he muttered, "This is MY movie! I NEED THAT DOG!" Aww... don't try to separate a boy and HIS DOG. Looks like Santa knows one item Brian wants this Christmas!
