I Want To Be A Mother

When I was a little girl, I remember listening to music with my family in our home and while traveling around in our mini van.  One cassette tape we listened to often was called, "Songs For A Mormon Child."  I've been wanting to find those songs on iTunes, a CD, or something.  And lucky for me, I was on Facebook doing some research for my church calling as the Primary chorister when I ran across a video of a little girl dancing to the song, "I Want To Be A Mother."  My girls heard me listening to this song.  I asked them if they wanted to dance to the song with their baby dolls and I could take a video of them.  Katie was super excited, put on her "dancing dress," grabbed her baby doll, and she was good to go.  Enjoy!

Being four.  So innocent and pure.  There are moments where I would give anything just to be able to see the world through her eyes. What a beautiful thing that would be.

I am so glad that I am a mother.  I must admit, I wasn't one of those girls who daydreamed about getting married and having children of my own.  I thought I would graduate high school, go to college, serve a mission, complete college, then eventually get married if I found the right guy.  Life sure has a way of changing up the plans that we make.  But I'm glad that I don't always get what I think I want.  I know that my Heavenly Father wants what is best for me.  I feel like I have stayed close to the spirit over the years and that has truly blessed my life.  I love my life, my husband, my home, and my four children!
