Pirate Party

(Photo from Susanna's blog)

Brian was invited a Pirate Party for Luke and Liam. These boys are twins that live in our neighborhood, go to our church, and ride the bus with Brian to preschool. The kids were told to come dressed up as pirates. I made Brian's pirate hat myself! The pirates were all given plastic swords and went on a treasure hunt in the backyard. They searched for gold rings. The pirate who collected the most gold rings on their sword won a prize. Next, the pirates played "Pin the (Eye) Patch on the Pirate." Then, they had a pirate pinata filled with candy. It was fun to watch the kids whack the pinata. Brian gave the boys some games for their birthday gifts. The pirate ship cake looked awesome and was made by Luke and Liam's dad. Anyway, Brian had a blast at the party. It was the first birthday party he'd been to. Now, he can't wait for his birthday so he can have a "Curious George" party. I've already got some good ideas for his party.
