Halloween was fun this year. I made Brian's costume that afternoon. I took an old produce box and made it into a Lightning McQueen racecar. Brian helped me paint the box red and I painted all the details on the car, including Rust*eze for the back of the car. We went to Sam's work for some quick Trick or Treating. Brian got the hang of Trick or Treating very quickly. He got lots of compliments on his costume. Can't beat a free costume. I bet there are several different costumes I could make for my kids out of boxes. Anyway, Tyler dressed up as a dragon. He was asleep the whole time we were at Sam's work. I never got a good picture of Tyler in his costume. An hour after that, it was time for the church's Trunk or Treat. We actually decorated our trunk for once. We had a fake spider web with a fake spider in there. About half of our ward was there. Brian made 3 laps around around the parking lot. He got his pumpkin filled with candy. His learned several new words that day: Happy Halloween, Trick or Treat, candy, treat, and "KaChow" (Lightning McQueen's line from the movie, Cars). The weather was the nicest I've ever experienced on Halloween...we didn't even need to wear jackets.

Cute costumes. I am glad he got to go and get treats. I bet Ty had lots of fun too.
SO creative! The car looks amazing- great job! I love home-made costumes :)
What a cute costume! You did such a good job on that. I'm glad you had fun. Kaylee loved the trick or treating this year too.
Good job on the costume, looks great!!!
Great idea for the costume! Very cute!! :)
Wow! Awesome costume! I wish I was more creative and artistic. My boys got the hang of saying "Trick or Treat" too. They said it everytime someone rang our doorbell (they went out early and were able to see a lot of kids come to our door later).
