Try-it-Tuesday

If you have a tried and true recipe that your family loves, PLEASE share it. Post a recipe on your blog and then be sure to comment here with the title of your recipe.(i.e. Elena says....Heavenly Chicken; that's all you have to type.) (And make sure you are logged in so we can find you.) That way anyone can quickly look at the recipe names listed and see if they'd like to read more about it. Be sure to tell your blog readers to post their recipe title on your own comments, etc., etc. The more the merrier in this game. Let's just see how many recipe ideas we can come up with on this first official Try-It-Tuesday!!

My friend,Lindsay brought this fabulous meal to us the day we came home from the hospital with Tyler. Lindsay minored in culinary arts, so you know it has to be delicious :9 This is the new favorite meal at my house!

Balsamic Pork Chops
by: Lindsay Farnsworth

3 Tsp. olive oil
4-5 thin pork chops
¼ C. flour
Dash of garlic powder
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper
5 roma tomatoes
14 oz. Chicken broth
¼ - ½ C. balsamic vinegar
salt to taste
1 clove garlic
angel hair pasta
mashed potatoes
French bread

Cut fat off of pork chops. Rinse off.
Combine flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Then coat pork chops with flour mixture. Heat olive oil in pan and then sear chops on both sides. Dice tomatoes and garlic. Place in hot oil and let break down. Add a little of flour mixture to tomatoes. Then add balsamic vinegar and salt. After a minute or so add chicken broth. Turn heat down to medium low and simmer a minute or so. Add seared pork chops and continue to simmer 15 or so minutes.
Serve with angel hair pasta, potatoes, or something that sounds good to you, but do have French bread on the side. (We always serve it over angel hair pasta and have French bread with it).

Now that I have a blog and can post a comment 3 years later...I will.

It's a Lindsay Original and one day I will have a published recipe book. I also use chicken cutlets. It changes it up a bit.
