Pumpkin Walk 2011

Another one of our holiday traditions is attending our valley's annual Pumpkin Walk.  Schools and other organizations take days creating several scenes out of pumpkins.  It's fun to see how creative people are with painting, carving, and accessorizing their pumpkins.  This year didn't disappoint.  Amy just so happened to be in town that day and joined us.
Check out Tigger's tail!  Someone meticulously lined up and connected the tiny painted pumpkins.  Awesome!
And here are my two favorite pictures of the day:

Tyler doesn't even know who Harry Potter is.  He just wanted to see through the glasses!
I loved the creativity that went into this lion's mane (corn husk).
Bugs Bunny, Whinne the Pooh, Yogi Bear, Charlie Brown, Snoopy playing Aviator,
and others including Bart Simpson, Popeye, and Garfield.
The floating lanterns scene from the movie, Tangled was very impressive.
The floating lanterns are actually those plastic trick-or-treat pumpkins with fancy designs on the side.
I bet when it gets dark, they light up the lanterns!
Tyler LOVES Buzz and apparently I was especially overjoyed to have an extra round face for a couple of seconds.
Sam on the other hand just endured the picture for Tyler's sake.  What a good daddy!
What a realistic looking witch!  Remember all the faces in these scenes are made of real pumpkins!  This one was amazing.  My guess is that whoever created this witch used clay and paint to make her face look so real.

Every Christmas season growing up, my family would watch the old classic, "The Christmas Story."
I've seen this movie so many times that I can practically quote it all.  It's hard for me to pick a favorite scene.
