Last Friday, they finished reading The Book of Mormon. They finished just in time for BYU-Idaho's Alumni Day at Lagoon. (*I'm doing a 60 day Book of Mormon reading challenge with my sister, Jenny. I'll be done in less than a month.)
On Saturday morning, we dropped Katie off after breakfast to spend a day with my friend. The boys were so excited for their first amusement park experience. Their excitement was contagious. Tyler's first ride was the carousel. He chose to ride the tiger because the tiger is orange, Tyler's current favorite color.
Brian loved the train ride. He insisted on sitting in the front seat so he could watch how the train conductor controlled everything.
It was so nice to have discounted tickets. We even enjoyed a free lunch along with hundreds of other BYU-Idaho Alumni. We won two T-shirts, a BYU-Idaho hat, and a large water bottle. Score!
Tyler's favorite thing he did was drive this blue car. He drove the cars a few times. The last time Tyler drove, he totally ran up to the front of the line and hopped in the car. Tyler was so quick, that we didn't have the chance to stop him. Whoops!

Sam and I took turns watching the boys so one of us could go and enjoy some of the grown up rides. Sam's favorite ride was the roller coaster, Wicked. It goes straight up and straight down. I stood in line for a bit to ride Wicked, but they ended up closing the ride for a few hours. So instead, I rode the roller coaster, Spider, and the old rickety wooden roller coaster just because that line was short.
One of these boys became a royal sticky mess...any guesses?!
I must admit that most of the kiddie rides were even fun for me.
I especially enjoyed the new roller coaster, Bombora. Our whole family could ride it and each pair of seats had it's own set of speakers to hear the fun tropical music playing as you ride.
Enjoy the video footage of our adventures at Lagoon!
And here's just a beautiful view of the mountains on our drive home.

My favorite picture is the one with Brian reading the Book of Mormon. He looks like he is really enjoying it.
