Words of Wisdom

"Happiness is not given to us in a package that we can just open up and consume. Nobody is ever happy 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Rather than thinking in terms of a day, we perhaps need to snatch happiness in little pieces, learning to recognize the elements of happiness and then treasuring them while they last."
-- Elder James E. Faust

"When the soul wishes to experience something, she throws an image of the experience out before her and enters into her own image."  ~ Meister Eckhard

"Life is partly what we make it, and partly what it is made by the friends we choose."  ~Tennessee Williams

“Striving for excellence motivates you; striving for perfection is demoralizing.” ~ Harriet Braiker

"Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack in everything,
That’s how the light gets in."

~ Leonard Cohen

“Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running aroundshouting that he has been robbed.
“[The fact is] most putts don’t drop. Most beef is tough. Most children grow up to be just people. Most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration. Most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. …
“Life is like an old-time rail journey—delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed.
“The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride.”
~ Jenkins Lloyd Jones

“There is no one perfect way to be a good mother. Each situation is unique. Each mother has different challenges, different skills and abilities, and certainly different children. The choice is different and unique for each mother and each family. What matters is that a mother loves her children deeply and, in keeping with the devotion she has for God and her husband, prioritizes them above all else.”  ~M. Russell Ballard

“The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself.”
~ Anna Quindlen

Looks like all the fun stuff you were telling me about came together. The baby shower looked inviting, the park is always fun...but just made me want it to be warm and not have sleet/snow up here and no wind on the halfway sunny days!!!

Katie is almost there for the "big 1". It is so fun to get home decor. That is one of my most fun things to do as you know!!!!
