Home Improvements

For the past several years, I've enjoyed spending my birthday money on home decor.  I find home decor at great deals.  One of my home decor shopping rules is that I never want to pay full price, so I shop the clearance sales.  I am almost done decorating now.  Some of the decor I bought before purchasing our first home.  I think that our house is looking good.  Take a look:
3 slot picture from Hobby Lobby 2 years ago: $20 (orig. $50)
Framed mirror from Ross: $20 (orig. $40)

2 Rod iron floral wall hangings from Ross: $24 (orig. $50)
12 picture black wooden frame from Kohl's last summer: $30 (orig. $90)

Rug from Walmart 6 years ago: $20
Headboard from D.I.: $12
Comforter: Free from my mom
Corn Husk Wreath: Free and made by me

Shelf  from Real Deals Home Decor - $30 (orig. $70)
"Bloom" blocks - Free and made by me
Birdhouse - Free - Bunko prize

3 Rod iron tiles from an antique shop in upstate New York: $18

Now the window treatments were a little tricky.  I bought all the wall curtain hooks and hardware for $16 at Walmart this week.  The window fabric was free from a friend.  That same friend came over yesterday and created these window treatments for me after showing her some pictures and describing it to her.  It was nice that we didn't have to spend money on curtain rods.  Instead we just used old cut up PVC pipes that we had in our garage to drape the fabric over.  Don't they look great?!  Liz- Thanks for all your help!
