I had Tyler's preschool class at our house yesterday. I had them sit on the BLUE circles of the Twister board and watch a few minutes of "The Little Mermaid." Their little assignment was to tell me what they see that is blue and what kinds of things float in the water.Next, the kids got to be scientists. They watched what happened when I put 3 drops of BLUE food coloring in big glass bowl full of water. They each grabbed a random item off the counter and took turns guessing if their object would sink or float.
While the kids looked on, I folded each of them a paper boat. I told them that they could be a scientist at home and take their paper boats home and see if it would float or sink in the bathtub. (Aunt Janette, do you remember teaching me how to fold these paper boats back when I was in 1st grade?)We ended our class by playing on our new swing set.
