Joy School - January

We had Joy School at our house again.  This time, the kids learned about the letter M, the number 14, the color gray, and a diamond shape.   I had the kids find diamond shapes on the country patterned quilt I had spread out on the floor.  Then we went into the toy room where I had the kids stand in a line.  They took turns standing on the paper diamond shape I had on the floor and shooting hoops.  Tyler did the best in his class making 2 out of the 3 shots!  That's my boy.

The kids watched this YouTube video.  The two-headed monsters did a good job teaching the kids how to count up to 14.  And the highlight of our class time was when the kids got to dress up as monsters!  I took Sam's gray t-shirts and spread them out on the couch.  Then I had accessories (like hats, sunglasses, etc.) for the kids to pick.  They pretended they were in the store and took turns selecting their monster costumes.
The kids watched a few minutes of "Monsters Inc." and then we made our own letter "M" monsters complete with googly eyes.  The kids had fun and so did I.
