Joy School - November

Some of my friends and I decided to start up our own Joy School.  All five of us live in the neighborhood and have kids around Tyler's age.  We started up our class in October and it's been going great.  We meet for an hour and a half on Tuesday mornings.  We take turns teaching the kids.  We have a little lesson schedule which consists of which letter, number, color, and shape we are to teach.  Tyler loves his Joy School class.  It is fun to see Tyler get excited about going to "school" and hanging out with his friends.  Here's some pictures from my first time teaching.

(Notice Tyler diggin' for gold.)

(Some kids take their smiles more seriously than others.)

Just one more of the twins because they are oh so cute:

First I taught the kids about the number 5.  We went on a hunt for green Post-it notes in the basement.  I also taught the kids about the letter D.  I let them watch an episode of "Dinosaur Train" on the computer.

He's enjoying the show.

Then we made these cute little dinosaurs with 5 colorful pom-poms on top.
It was my first time ever teaching school.  It was fun.  Can't wait until next time.
