Skip It -
I wanted the pink one, but they only had the yellow one in stock at the store. I took it to school one day. All of my friends wanted to play with it and try to beat my score. (Remember the built-in counter this toy had?) What is the point of that toy anyway? Why was it such a coveted toy?
I sent in the "official papers" and adopted her. Her given name was Hedda. What nationality is that?!
Pogo Stick -
A random Christmas gift. I was really good at jumping with a pogo stick. I would could count how many times I could jump in a row on that toy.
Nintendo -
Michael, Emily, Amy, and I asked to get Nintendo for Christmas for years before we finally got one. We first had this simple video game system called "Socrates."
The next Christmas, we FINALLY got our Nintendo! My favorite games were the original Super Mario Brothers, Mario Kart, Guts, and Uniracers. (Were Guts and Uniracers games for the Super Nintendo? I can't remember.) I use to be pretty competitive back then. Starting at age 2, Michael taught my younger brothers how to play Nintendo. My brothers are very good at their video games.
My husband's favorite toys were:
Micro Machines
He-Man
Transformers
What were your favorite childhood toys?
