Thankful Thursday

1.  I finished a BiG PRoJeCT!!!  Yesterday, I finished making my last two sets of homemade cards for my neighborhood card club.  I've made enough cards to exchange at Card Club for the rest of the YeAR!!!  My goal was to get a year's worth of cards made by my birthday.  GO ME :)
2.  CeLeBrATiNg 1 YeAR of HoME OWNeRSHiP!!!  A year ago today, we moved into our first house!  I can't believe we've lived here for a whole year already.  I've enjoyed beautifying our place and turning our house into a home.
3.  Stake Relief Society Conference.  Over the weekend, I went with my mother in-law and my Grandma Hallstrom to this event.  It was very nice.  The speaker was Jana P. Staples of the Relief Society General Board.  Some of my favorite thoughts from her talk were:
-  "What you are now is good enough."  Sister Beck - Relief Society General President
-  To set your priorties straight, you should divide your life into three lists:
List 1 - Essentials (i.e. scripture study, prayer, temple attendance)
List 2 - Necessary (i.e. service, cooking, exercise, family/kids)
List 3 - Nice to Do (i.e. reading, crafts, blogging)
* If we strive to always complete the things on our essentials list, all else will fall into place.
4.  A Visit from the Grandparents.  Sam's parents came to visit us over the weekend.  Brian sure got attached to his Grandpa Ward.  They are such good buddies.  Brian tagged along with Sam and Grandpa Ward to Lowe's.  They went there to pick up a few things.  The guys came back and hung a shelf I painted in the nursery.  We can't wait for them to officially move out to Utah!
