Thankful Thursday
1. Relief Society Lesson. Last Sunday, all the women in our ward were able to attend Relief Society. Bishop Anderson gave a wonderful lesson on women. He just wanted to let us know that women are important. A few points I remember from his lesson are that we shouldn't compare ourselves to anyone else, make fun memories with your family, and remember that you are your spouse's best friend and vice versa. The lesson made me think on how I can tweek my thoughts and actions so I can more fully enjoy my life. This week, I've been spending more quality time with my boys. After almost 5 years of being a mom, we're finally getting a breakfast routine. The boys are so much better at eating their breakfast. I just have to stay sitting at the table while they finish eating or else they start running around. One fun thing I did with the boys is let them put all their stuffed animals on the top bunk bed. We sang, "Five Little Monkeys." Every time a "monkey" would "fall off and bonk their head," they'd throw an animal into the toy bucket on the floor. They just laughed and laughed. I hope to have more fun moments like this throughout each day.
2. New Recipes. I love trying new recipes, especially if it's a sweet treat. Soon I will post a couple new recipes. (I bet your mouth is watering in anticipation.)
3. Funny Brian. Brian does something that reminds me of that kid that plays Kevin in the original "Home Alone" movie. Remember the part when Kevin is sneaking through Buzz's forbidden chest? While he's doing things that he knows he shouldn't be doing, Kevin yells out something like, "Buzz, I'm going through all your stuff and looking at garbage. You better come out and pound me!" Obviously, Buzz and the rest of the family is gone and nothing's gonna happen to him. Well, when Sam's at work and we're eating a snack, Brian's says, "Shorry, Dad! No icesh cream for you. We ate it all. Shorry!" Then when Sam walks in the door from work, Brian tells him the same thing. Just rub it in, Brian! Poor Sam. I should get Sam his own carton of ice cream and hide it.

Sunday's lesson was great, maybe it was just the fact that we actually got to go Relief Society, but i loved it too!
That it was one of my favorite parts on Home Alone, I love that movie.
Brian cracks me up. Lisa, you probably should get Sam his own carton of ice cream!
