$27 Bathroom Makeover

When we moved into our house, this is what our small bathroom in the basement looked like: Yes, it was so dark, boring, and just blah! The one wall was painted a light sky blue color and the other walls were painted a dark blue color (as blue as painters tape!) Ugly bathroom, huh?!

Drumroll please.........

And here's our bathroom now:

Believe it or not, this was only a $27 bathroom makeover! When I was doing my Christmas shopping, I ran across this shower curtain for $5.

Then at the same store, I found this cute rug for $7.

And the mirror we found yesterday for only $15.

I bet you're wondering about the paint on the walls. We'll my friend, Charee gave me this paint for FREE. It's a sage green color and matches the shower curtain perfectly.

This project took us a week to complete. We worked on it after the boys were in bed. We did three coats of primer, two coats of paint, and had to do some touch up work on the paint. The bathroom turned out just as I'd envisioned it.
