1. FAMILY... it's about TIME?! For the past week, I've been hanging out with my family. I grew up in upstate NY and don't get to see my family very often. (It's been a good 4 1/2 years since we've all been together). But this past weekend, we were all together, I'm talking all 8 original Hallstrom kids and their respective others. It was awesome! Everyone seems more grown up. My favorite day so far was Monday this week. Four vehicles caravanned up to Watkins Glen State Park. All 17 of us hiked the Gorge. I had never been to the Gorge. The scenery was absolutely GORGEous!!! I don't think I've ever seen so many waterfalls in such a short distance. Don't worry, I took lots of pictures. Afterwards, we had lunch at Burger King and then went swimming in an Olympic-sized pool. Once we got home, we were hungry again so we had chicken salad sandwiches and an overload of ice cream!
2. Airplanes. I don't know what I'd do if I had to drive across the country with my husband and two young boys. I'm just so glad that we were able to fly to NY. Yes, it was hard to keep my boys occupied on the plane, but I'm glad I didn't have to keep them happy for 33+ hours of driving. Hurray for airplanes! Brian loved looking out the window and seeing all the clouds, houses, and even a rainbow. Definitely a fun experience.
3. Home Cookin'. My momma is a fantastic cook. I've been enjoying all the good food. My turn in the kitchen is coming soon. I don't know what meal I'm going to make yet.
4. My Brother, Mark. Yesterday, I took Mark's senior pictures. He wasn't in the best of moods and was having a hard time keeping his eyes open. I suggested that we go out for ice cream 'cuz ice cream makes anyone happy, right?! Right. It made me happy too that Mark paid for our ice cream. We got home and Mark was all smiles.

Wow, you've lived in NY your whole life (well, until college) and never hiked Watkins Glen? That is shocking to me! I hope you enjoyed it - Jared and I hiked it last year with Steven and it was fun!
How nice that you got to have all your siblings together! We haven't had that in probably 2 years or so and won't for at least another 2.
