Affordable Summer Fun

2. Pick your own berries! Don’t know where to go on your berry picking adventure? Log on to http://www.pickyourown.org/ to find a farm near you. Spend a day picking berries for a perfect homemade pie. Don’t forget berries make a great topping for cereal!
3. Stake out a great spot. Find a cool campsite and spend some time hiking , fossil hunting and bird watching. For close to home fun, pitch a tent in your own backyard. When the sun sets, you can spend quality time telling scary stories around the campfire.
4. Take me out to the ball game! Summer days were made for baseball! Check with your local Chamber of Commerce to find a schedule of your local college/city leagues, or simple gather up a few friends for a friendly game at the sandlot.
5. Tour a National Park. Our National Parks are beautiful and worth seeing with your family. There are tours, campsites, hiking trails and much more! Find the perfect park for your family to visit at http://www.nps.gov/

Fun ideas! I love your blog, I was reading through your posts...you are hilarious!! Looks like you guys have been having lots of fun lately! Where have we been? Oh yeah, the RAIN!!! Hopefully it will be over soon and we can play outside a lot this summer...my kids are making me CRaZy in the house!!!!!!
