1. Hair Straightener. My hair is naturally thick and wavy. I like my hair best when it is straight, shiny, and silky smooth. I'm glad that I have a hair straightener to help me accomplish this look.
2. My Kitchen. My kitchen doesn't have the best set up (it's a very narrow buffet style kitchen). But I'm glad that I have a kitchen to create meals and desserts to feed my family and friends.
3. My Journals. I kept a hand written daily journal from age 16-26. I'm so glad that I did this. Every once and awhile, I pull out an old journal of mine. It's fun for me to read my old journal entries and remember what I thought was important, what things occupied my day, etc. I still keep a hand written journal, only I write in it about once a week now. I use to stay up too late to write in my journal. Good thing I have a blog where I can record my thoughts. It is alot quicker for me to type than it is for me to write things down.
4. Quote Books. I don't know where I got the idea to create quote books. When I was a teenager, I would collect quotes, mostly inspirational ones, and would write them down in a journal. I would decorate these pages with stickers, little doodles, and the quotes. I would write the quotes using my vast and colorful gel pen collection. Doing this would occupy several hours of my Sunday afternoons. I'm very glad that I did this and I use these quote books when I prepare for church talks or lessons.

I love when you write what you are thankful for. It makes me stop and think what I am thankful for too.
Amen for the straightener! My hair looks like a mess without it! What did we do before they came along?! Oh yeah just look at the 80's and 90's!
I love reading what you are thankful for too. There are so many things that you can take for granted until you stop and think about it.

I love my flat iron too!! I don't know how I did my hair when I didn't have one. Thanks for the birthday wish no,I didn't have any cake that's okay w/me though.
