A Favorite Holiday Goody

My mom gave me this recipe the other day. It is very quick and easy to make and everyone that has tried this fudge has loved it. Try making this fudge for your family and friends.

CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT FUDGE

2 C. (12 oz. bag) milk chocolate chips
1 C. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
1 dash salt
1/2 tsp. peppermint (or vanilla) extract
1/4 C. crushed peppermint candy (I use Andes mint chips)

Melt chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and salt in microwave (High for 1 1/2 minutes, stir, microwave for 45 more seconds). Add peppermint (vanilla) extract. Spread in wax paper lined 8 in. pan. Take peppermint candy, sprinkle on top of chocolate, and push down with the bottom of a measuring cup. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. Remove wax paper, cut fudge into squares, and serve.
