Old Stomping Grounds

Before the Van Wie Family Reunion last Saturday, we took the time to visit one of our old neighborhoods. We parked in the parking lot of our old ward building, buckled the kids up in the double stroller, and off we went. We knocked on several doors of friends. Hardly anyone was home. We did manage to see a photographer friend of mine, Valerie Lindsay , as well as two of my old visiting teachers, Melissa Marler and Maribeth Roane. It was fun to see these ladies and catch up with them real quick.

Then we wandered over to one of Sam's alma maters, WSU. We ate our sack lunches inside of Sam's favorite building. It was empty, it being Labor Day weekend, so Sam didn't get to see any of his old professors. It was fun to see how that building was pretty much the same as when Sam graduated a couple years ago. He practically lived in this building as an undergraduate student. Inside Building 4, Sam attended several of his undergraduate classes and worked as a teacher's aide. He graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology back in May 2006. I'm so glad I married such a smart man and that he is a hard worker. He's a great husband, father, and provider. We love you!
