I Packed Up and LEFT :)

Right after Sam got home from work last Friday, I packed up my things, and left. Sounds kinda sad doesn't it...leaving my man home with his two boys?!?! Well, it wasn't like I was leaving them for good. I was only gone for a day and a half, but it was well worth it. Having a break from being a wife and mommy is necessary to keep me sane. I don't think I've ever had such a long break before.

Where did I go?! Lots of places. But everywhere I went, I went with my oldest sister, Amy. We called it "SISTERfest!" The night that I got there, we attended my cousin's wedding reception. It was great to see Bethany and Dan together and how happy they were. Bethany looked GoRgeOuS! We also got to see our Aunt Ruth and Uncle Robert (Bethany's parents) all the way from NY as well as some other friends and family. Amy and I stayed up talking into the wee hours of the morning (3:30 a.m.) Of course we had a leisurely Saturday morning filled with sleeping in, taking along time to get ready for the day, and eating a scrumptious breakfast. We had french toast made with thick Texas Toast and covered it with mashed strawberries and whipped cream...MMM mmm good :P Then, we were off to Target for some shopping. We drove around the Salt Lake area and found Amy a new apartment. She's really excited about her new place and can't wait to move. I'm excited for her too. For dinner, we ate at the Rumbi Island Grill, located in the fabulous Gateway Mall. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Sandwich which was very tasty. I especially loved the grilled pineapple in the sandwich. The Energy Solutions Center was having a professional bull riding competition. We enjoyed watching the bull riding. They gave away some random free items too...chap stick and a loaf of Sara Lee bread. For our last "SISTERfest" activity, we stuffed ourselves full with ice cream sundaes from Leatherby's. And then of course, we had to say up late again talking. Thanks, Amy for the fun weekend! I had a bLasT! We'll have to do "SISTERfest" again real soon. Hopefully more of my sisters (I have four sisters) can come too.

And just F.Y.E. (for your enjoyment), here's a video clip of me trying to lip sync to a song I obviously don't know followed by some bull riding.
