Love, Big Brother, Brian

A couple years ago, my mom sent me a pack of cute paper for Christmas. There was a note attached to it saying: "It's time for Brian to start writing letters to his grandparents once a month." So I took that seriously and have been having Brian "write" letters every month since then. Of course I write the letters, but I pretend Brian is the one writing. It's fun for me to write from a 3 year old's perspective. Here's the letter "he" wrote today:

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Dear Grandma & Grandpa Hallstrom,

My baby brother, Tyler and I are doing well. We get along great. Lately, I've been giving Tyler kisses when he is sad. Tyler usually stops crying after I give him a kiss. Tyler smiles at me now and will soon be laughing at me :) A couple weeks ago, Tyler went to the doctor for his 2 month check up. He is now 22 in. long and weighs 11 lbs. 4 oz.

Daddy and I have been having fun lately. He takes me on rides in the car without Mommy and the baby. We go to the bank, the post office, and sometimes to the park. I love hanging out with my Daddy, especially when he reads me stories and tuck me into bed at night.

Mommy and I have fun together too. I "help" her with some chores: folding laundry, emptying the dishwasher, making the beds, and my favorite: baking in the kitchen. When we bake, we always wear our aprons. I love the John Deere apron you gave me for Christmas :) My favorite treat we make is Chex Muddy Buddies. I like to shake the bag with the chocolate-covered Chex and the powdered sugar in it.

Mommy tells me that you are both working really hard. Keep up the good work. I miss you both and Tyler does too. Who knows, maybe my parents will bring us to NY this year to see you?!?!

Love, Big Brother, Brian & Baby Tyler
