Sam...my SUPERMAN!

1. Who is your man? Samuel Machesney Ward

2. How long have you been together? We met 5 years and 6 months ago. We met in April 2002 and during that summer we "phone dated." He called me weekly and we wrote letters and emails while I was working at Jacob Lake Inn (near the Grand Canyon). He drove me up to school (BYU-Idaho)after our first "official" date. We dated that fall semester, got engaged in December 2002, and got married in May 2003.

3. How long did you date? He proposed to me after 9 months of dating.

4. How old is your man? 27

5. Who eats more? SAM...he would eat a 4 course dinner every night if I'd cook it for him!!! His family told me before we got married, "Good luck at keeping Sam full, he's a bottomless pit!" He's NEVER been full after eating the dinners that I make him, except for Thanksgiving last year!

6. Who said "I love you" first? Sam did. I already knew he loved me before he told me...but it was sure great to hear him say it.

7. Who is taller? Sam he's 6'0 and I am 5'0

8. Who sings better? Me...and I must say that it sure is humorous to hear Sam sing kid songs to Brian. Sam will sing a few words and then look at me to tell him the correct words that are coming up next in the song. I tease him and then like to quiz him on the wording of kid songs. I think that Sam FINALLY has the words down pat for the "Itsy Bitsy Spider." You should all quiz him the next time you talk to him!

9. Who is smarter? Depends on the subject.

10. Whose temper is worse? Mine...what can I say, I like to get my way!

11. Who does the laundry? Mostly me - sometimes Sam does the laundry (the washing AND the folding).

12. Who does the dishes? Sam usually does the dishes. No complaints there. I hate doing the dishes, especially washing the big dishes by hand. I don't mind unloading the dishes from the dishwasher though. I consider myself a very lucky woman to have a man who helps out around the house.

13. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Sam does now. At our old apartment, I did beacause I didn't want to sleep right up against the wall.

14. Who pays the bills? Sam.

15. Who is better at the computer? Sam is better at all the boring stuff on the computer, but I'm more creative with the whole blogging thing...slideshows, PhotoShop, etc.

16. Who mows the lawn? If we had a lawn, I'd make Sam mow it. I've never mowed the lawn in my life. My dad or my brother, Mike always did it.

17. Who cooks dinner? Me almost all the time. Sam will cook dinner a couple times a month for me. I'm so glad that I have a husband who knows how to cook. My favorite thing that he makes is egg casserole...eggs, cheese bacon, sausage, bread. MMMmmm!!! It's the dish Sam grew up making for his family breakfast on Christmas morning.

18. Who drives when you are together? Sam does. Just a little sidenote: I hate being the navigator because I'm way better with directions than Sam. (The source of the majority of our little arguments occur in the car when we are trying to get to our destination. Ladies, what is it with men and stopping to ask for directions?! I mean they'd rather stay lost for awhile than ask for help)!

19. Who pays when you go out? Sam

20. Who is more stubborn? Me

21. Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Me...I'd rather admit that I'm wrong than make the situation go on forever and become uncomfortable.

22. Whose parents do you see most? Sam's parents. They come out to Utah about 3 times a year from Illinois. My parents live in New York and wish they could come visit more. I see my parents about once a year.

23. Who kissed who first? Sam. Sam and his roommates had the whole thing planned out. One of his roommates folded a red paper napkin into a rose and placed an empty Hershey's kiss wrapper in the petals. Sam took me outside on my front porch and told me that he had something to give me. He then handed me the napkin rose from behind his back. I noticed the wrapper inside the rose, but didn't want to say anything. It totally clicked what he wanted me to say and what was suppose to happen. Instead I said, "Why did you eat it?!" That totally threw Sam off guard and said, "You were suppose to say, where's my kiss!" Anyway, he then kissed me as we heard cheering from across the street. His roommates saw the whole thing! What a way for me to remember my first kiss!

24. Who asked who out? In one of the letters Sam wrote me the summer I was at Jacob Lake, he told me that he was going to take me out on a date at the end of the summer. I was so excited to see Sam for our first date. We hadn't seen each other for 4 months!

25. Who proposed first? Sam told me in October that he had told his mom of his plan to marry me. That was kind of an unofficial proposal,l guess. I was not sure yet. I was totally thinking I would become a missionary for the church. It took me a couple of months to decide. Once I made my decision, I told Sam.

26. Who is more sensitive? Sam. He is very sensitive to the Spirit and always seems to be able to put things into perspective. I really admire that about him.

27. Who has more friends? I do. I write letters, emails, and make phonecalls to friends almost daily.

28. Who has more siblings? I do. I have 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Sam has 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

29. Who wears the pants in your family? Sam wears the pants. He's the one that gets the bills paid, the car in good condition, goes to work, etc. I just make sure my family has clean clothes and stays happy. Just kidding. We both do more than that. But yeah, Sam wears the pants.

As you can probably tell, it's late at night and I'm up writing this. I get pretty silly at night and tend to ramble on and on about stuff. Thanks for reading!
