Girls Night Out with Cousins

Two days ago, I drove down to Salt Lake City for a GNO with these pretty ladies... my cousins.
I picked Laura up at work and met up with everyone at Stella for mock tails and appetizers.

Then we put on surgical gloves, and went thrifting at Goodwill.
We picked out these thug outfits and made this silly video (to be posted soon, hopefully).

Valerie, Sharon, and I embarrassed ourselves when we pounded on the wrong door to kidnap Angela.
Poor dude was not sure what to think of us dressed all crazy.
We finally found Angela and she got all dressed up and drew some fake tatoos on us.

We blasted out music on our way to meet up with everyone else at The Cheesecake Factory.
We had such a fun time and parted ways at midnight after a stop at Maverik for gas and milkshakes.
The waiter we had was the best!  He asked us our gang name.
We decided on Young Cousins (YC for short).  He took pictures for us and a video too.

Hangin' With the Girls

I live in an awesome neighborhood filled with young moms like me.  I love getting together with my friends.  Here's a bunch of us at Heidi's baby shower.  Julie was a great host!
In January, Janell hosted Girls Night at her house.  We each brought our favorite things.  Here's what everyone brought:
Julie hosted February's Girls Night... a Valentine's Party.  We each brought our favorite dessert.  I brought fudge.  We played M.A.S.H. and other fun games.

After the games, we were sitting around, chatting, and listening to music.  Things were getting a little silly and I suggested we did some karaoke.  Julie was a sweet D.J. and we rocked out to some tunes... many of which I had not heard since high school.

Ghouls Night out

Last night was Ghoul's Night Out.  Jaime threw an awesome costume party.  I dressed up as a butterfly.  It was fun to dress up in a costume (it'd been years since I last wore a costume.)  Seeing all the ladies in their costumes was a treat.  We had lots of food, laughter, and just a grand 'ole time.  Can't wait for next month's GNO!
Here I am all ready to fly over to the party:
My favorite part of my costume was my crazy leggings.  They were fun and really comfy.  Look how great everyone looked:

Lindsay and I didn't plan to both be butterflies.  We had fun.

And here we are playing Halloween Bingo.  I won the first round.  My prize was a small skull container full of candy corn.  Go me!
I loved Lacie's feathery witch hat.  Very festive indeed!

A Little Black Dress

Now I'm not talkin' about MY little black dress (I don't have a little black dress) so read on.  My friend, Charee hosted our neighborhood's GNO (Girls Night Out)... a black and white tea party!  (We drank punch, not tea.)  Guests were asked to wear black and white with a splash of red.  I took the easy route and just wore my simple yet comfortable church dress.  I may have went overboard with the "splash of red," but I don't care.  I wore my sassy red lipstick, my nails polished red, and my crazy red scarf (made by my Grandma Jean.)  I wasn't planning on taking Katie with me to this event.  I considered Katie "my accessory" for the occasion.  She has a little black dress in her closet that she was begging to wear.
We had a fabulous time eating, playing games, and chatting.  Ladies, thanks for the memories!

(Thanks for letting me use these pictures, Charee!)

Eclipse

For July's neighborhood Girls Night Out we went to see the newest Twilight movie, "Eclipse."  I must admit that I don't read the Twilight books.  It makes seeing the movie more exciting for me because I don't know what to expect.  I enjoyed hangin' out with the ladies and seeing the movie.

Girls Night Out - Family Style

Laura, Mom, Lisa Amy, Jenny, Emily, Alice
Here we are at Harris Hill sitting on a swing overlooking the valley where we grew up.
(Horray for self-timers!)

After our long family day in Watkins Glen, all the girls in my family went out. It was kind of a last minute thing, but boy did we have fun! We all piled in Mom's blue minivan and went up to Harris Hill. Mom insisted that we all go on a carousel ride. My sister in-law, Alice was kind enough to take these pictures of us: Click Collage to Enlarge

AND if those pictures didn't show you how wound up we were, these next pictures will definitely show that we're crazy! We drove up to the lookout spot by the glider airport and my mom took these:
This first one is what I call "Kiss the Biceps."

Next we are showing off our "Strong Faces."
"I GoT the PoWeR!" Atleast over half of us look like we're powerful, especially those girls on the front row. I wouldn't want to get on their bad side. As for me, I couldn't stop laughing.
It was Amy's bright idea to capture a super snazzy one. Kick Punch Take 1... okay, except for me. I was obviously having issues with the kicking part.Kick Punch Take 2... worse. It's hard to be the one on the end. Sorry I messed you up, Jenny.Kick Punch Take 3... much better. I switched spots with Amy (more of a pro Kick Puncher than moi) and I ended up with the highest Kick Punch of everyone.... HA :)
What can I say?! There's not alot to do in our small rural town in New York. We took the long way home, driving by our our old house on the hill. It was my favorite house we lived in... a huge cedar sided house that sat on 6.5 wooded acres.

We came home to take some more pictures in Mom's backyard. These pictures were my idea. Thanks again, Alice for taking these pictures for us. I think they turned out very nicely, if I do say so myself.
After that, we vegged on the couch and watched one of my mom's favorite movies, "Funny Girl." Thanks for the fun-filled, really random night, GirLies!!! i LoVE YoU aLL!!!
